We are exploring Saturn this week! The majority of this stream is utilizing Maria Renard and her gun fingas to search up some action through a marginally modified version of the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night that we all know and love. It takes me some time to find the “new” areas of this familiar castle, and… they’re not great. But they are completely new to my Playstation-devoted self, so at least something novel happens while we kick down some ghosts.
After Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Saturn) is determined to not be very good, we move on to a few other Sega Saturn “hits”. We have Space Jam, starring Michael Jordan/Pepé Le Pew, but that glitches out before we can finish a match. The Incredible Hulk: The Pantheon Saga is an excellent showcase for how The Incredible Hulk picks up his groceries, but not a terribly exciting adventure. Finally, we hit noted cute ‘em up, Parodius. That is the most gorgeous game of the night, and is hampered only by a starfleet of moai heads. Can’t win ‘em all…
On the chat, we have a unanimous consensus that Maria’s run is “wrong” with Cassandralyn, BEAT, Chromes, Caithness, and Ample Vigour, (with a brief appearance by fanboymaster). We occasionally ignore Saturn games to venture into topics like Lilo and Stitch, Warped Tour, sports betting, child rearing, and general horse smells. Oh, and we manage to successfully predict not only that the Nintendo Switch 2 would have a Gamecube virtual console, but also that it would tout The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Neat!
