Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater streams are done (for now). But, in its time, the Tony Hawk’s franchise was earthshattering. And you know what happens when a title shifts the landscape of gaming? Everybody wants to make their own! So this week, fanboymaster is going to play through five different hawklikes in gradually escalating quality. First, we have MTV Sports: Skateboarding featuring Andy Macdonald, which is unfettered garbage. Then we move on to Disney’s Extreme Skate Adventure, which is the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 engine with some light child/furry exploitation. Then it is time for Yanya Caballista: City Skater, the only game I can immediately recall where you use a mini skateboard peripheral to perform skateboarding tricks that repel aliens. Next, Wakeboarding Unleashed Featuring Shaun Murray is a decent and fun game, though it has the obvious handicap of being based on the extremely nontransferable-to-gaming sport of Wakeboarding. Finally, we have Aggressive Inline, which is definitely the most fun game in the batch, so it is played for more than twenty minutes. Why is it the most fun? Watch to find out!

Random Notes:
- Andy, did you hear about this one? fanboymaster is kicking off the night with MTV Sports: Skateboarding featuring Andy Macdonald. And we’ve got the viewing audience of Jeanie, Cassandralyn, Chromes, BEAT, and myself.
- Boo! Boo! We’re booing your suffering!
- “It’s very hard to describe how bad this feels to control.”
- We move from a traditional skating mode to the official Stunt Mode. Get ready for falling over a bunch of cars.
- fanboymaster will never conquer Hard Street and its poisonous pipes.
- From there, it is time to shuffle over to the moral bankruptcy of Disney’s Extreme Skate Adventure.
- “You have to earn playing as a lady.”
- What if Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 had quadrupeds and rendered fast food-based missions?
Even Simba Breath of the Wilding around the jungle is not enough to hold our interest, so it is time for…- The game BEAT cannot hope to pronounce: Yanya Caballista: City Skater.
- If you still have the official “board controller” for Yanya Caballista: City Skater, please let us know. Curiosity abounds on how that was actually supposed to work.
- After a quick run of the practice courses, we hunt Gawoo. Please do not ask me to explain anything about Gawoo.
- Whether you are a Gawoo sympathizer or not, we are proceeding to…
- Wakeboarding Unleashed Featuring Shaun Murray, which starts with a history of wakeboarding. Kinda.
- The water doesn’t emulate quite properly, but there’s a great soundtrack for this one. Regardless, we surf to our final game (and the majority of the stream)…
- Flip on into Aggressive Inline.
- This is indisputably the best game of the night, even if it does feature a shirtless guy being uncool in the snow.
- What are your favorite games where the protagonist tells you that bad stuff never happened?
- Trynant joins just as we get a rad (aggressive?) picture of skating.
- “Please do tricks to advertise hot dogs.”
- This “movie set” stage might be where Buffy the Vampire Slayer is filmed. It is definitely very CW… err WB. Do these networks exist anymore?
- Caliscrub joins to the usual confusion of “what even is this game?”
- Yes, Aggressive Inline is from the makers of BMX XXX, a game that is stupidly horny and racist.
We will not be playing Go! Go! Hypergrind in honor of not honoring John K. We can honor Beavis and Butthead, though.- Is your factory OSHA/grinding compliant?
- The Atari Jaguar has and continues to make the world a worse place.
- There were five games streamed this night, and not a single one contained Dragula. That is probably why Chromes fell asleep.
- And we will close out the night by ranting about Drakengard, NieR, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Fire Emblem.
Next Week on the Hawkathon: Even Worse Streams presents the worst.
