Marvel at this Playstation adaptation of a Playstation 2 game. Created by the developers of Grind Session (check a couple of weeks back), this version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 tells the tale of “what if Tony Hawk was skating around a world after the activation of a neutron bomb… and at night.” Non playable characters are gone, the lighting is a little dimmer, but it is still Tony Hawk’s from deck to trucks. Come and enjoy fanboymaster powering through what Ample Vigour calls “a real sicko stream”.
As a special bonus, this stream also includes a look at Street Sk8er, a Playstation title by Atelier Double. It is more of an “arcade style” skateboarding game, and it has very… unique ideas on having fun with skateboards.

Random Notes:
- Time to fire up the Playstation again with fanboymaster tonying a hawk. We also have Ample Vigour, Chromes, Jeanie, BEAT, Caithness, and myself asking the hard questions. Inquiries may include, “Does BEAT have enough wives?”
- This is a Ghost Babel-friendly stream where we will also review the plot of Um Jammer Lammy.
Talk of Hades and rogue-likes leads to a discussion of Dead Rising and how it was released in the dark ages before everyone owned HDTVs.- God of War is the game featuring David Jaffe’s murdersona and terrible insights into his divorce.
- This was apparently recorded back when BEAT started replaying Skies of Arcadia. Let’s call any discussion of this foreshadowing.
- “I won’t let you come sail away with me, motherfucker.”
- Caliscrub joins just as fanboymaster clears the (dark, abandoned) airport.
- Skating around an empty, frozen Canada leads to the most surprising Bible Study story ever told on stream.
- We have determined that a time-traveling Caliscrub destroyed Ample Vigour’s fighting game dreams as a child.
- The fail video is the same as the PS2 version, so we don’t need to watch that again, right?
- The Playstation does not get the cruise ship level, so we must have fun with the bonus level that is included. Blame it on Rio!
- And then we move on to Street Sk8er. We still get to see sick skateboarding moves, but less fun is enjoyed.
- Lesson for the day: skateboarding and guitar skills are both about the value of practice (and looking cool).
- fanboymaster clears Stage 1 after some trepidation. Look, considering how Street Sk8er works, it is amazing there is any progress made at all.
- The other stages go more smoothly while BEAT discusses the details of movie making without microphones.
- Completing level 3 opens “alternate gates” to new and exciting ways to clip through fences.
- And we close with Alternate Stage 1 earning some boos. Those jeers are for you, Street Sk8er!
