All good things must come to an end, so our last formal Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater title for this Hawkathon comes to us all. Enjoy Tony exploring a carnival, and then stick around for Jango Fett jetpacking around Chicago of The Matrix. Typical skater stuff. We also get a brief look at Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 for the Playstation (1), which is a totally different animal from its big brother. And what is next for the Hawkathon? Well, there sure were more than a few games that tried to ape Neversoft’s success…
Let’s Play Tony Hawk’s Games
Night 8
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4
Playstation 2, 2002 +
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4
Playstation, 2002
Part 3
April 22, 2025
Random Notes:
- Let’s learn about which Playstation 2 outputs are imaginary with fanboymaster hosting, and an audience of BEAT, Chromes, Caithness, Jeanie, and myself.
- Bam Margera is a jackass racing a shopping cart through Alcatraz.
- Trynant joins just as we start to trick out the beatz (no relation).
- “When’s Goggle Bob streaming Plok?”
Who was the hottest woman of 2002? Or who would the developers of a 2002 game think was the hottest woman? Whatever, let’s go to the carnival.- “For my next trick, I’m going to grind perpendicular to all directions.”
- Lunar is discussed as Jango Fett jetpacks around. Look back at this in a few months to see if we guessed the right number of nights to complete Silver Star Story.
- Never believe you can fly on stream.
- After futzing around Chicago, fanboymaster switches over to the ol’ Playstation (1).
- Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 (PSX) hosts too many load screens, and feels like a dream (derogatory).
- “Is Jingle All the Way not a Christmas film?”
- This version of Alcatraz does not have a ghost that plays baseball. Right into the garbage!
- Caliscrub joins as empty Alcatraz is completed. So it is time to move on to…
Razor Freestyle Scooter
Playstation, 2000
April 22, 2025
That’s right! fanboymaster is going to play a game licensed by the producers of scooters and safety equipment. Razor Freestyle Scooter was built on the same engine as Grind Session, but it contains more evil robots and ethically neutral MMA fighters. Oh, and you eventually go scooting around in an air fortress or two, so that seems worth noting.
Random Notes:
- A crazed robot has taken your friends, so you don’t want to miss a thing!
- What if you did combos well enough that you “earned” time? Could it make a good game? It would be for ten bucks…
- BEAT has opinions on good, bad, and racist box art.
- Cassandralyn sneaks in to make BEAT-offending puns. He’s been Lent down.
- Ample Vigour joins as we approach the sky fortress (not the one you’re thinking of).

- “Tito is upsettingly buff as well.”
- And after some lovely razor’ing with Noted Politician Tito, we wrap up for the night.
Next Week on the Hawkathon: Skateboarding! Wake Boarding! Aliens!

The Big Tito up in the sky

“ETHICALLY NEUTRAL MMA FIGHTERS” GOGGLEBOB ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME HERE
It is stated to be the case on the VOD!
