It’s Tony Hawk’s Whole New World! Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 now features huge, explorable stages that host challenges distributed by NPCs. The new character modeling style is… a little off, but the rest of this universe is amazing compared to the franchise’s premiere just three years earlier. And there are flatland tricks! And something about breaking your own spine! Welcome to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, a game so huge, fanboymaster will be tackling it for three weeks!
Let’s Play Tony Hawk’s Games
Night 6
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4
Playstation 2, 2002
Part 1
April 8, 2025
Random Notes:
- fanboymaster is listening to some AC/DC with BEAT, Cassandralyn, Chromes, and me. Let’s talk about wearing shirts!
- BEAT is getting his Gamecube on, and is happy to see Skies of Arcadia looks like he remembers. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess have not aged as well.
- Ample Vigour joins just as Painter Neal is nearly devoured by a shark. He’s in Florida for this stream! (Ample Vigour, not the shark.)
- “We are still living under the yolk of seagulls.”
- Hi, my name is Goggle Bob, and I apparently can provide a brief history of naming in Alcoholics Anonymous.
- Trynant joins as fanboymaster grabs some air in Alcatraz.
- Please do not consider the sexual or racist nature of any (Alvin and the) Chipmunk movies.
The Plant Tamagotchi is fine despite BEAT lowering the blinds on it. Well, fine except for being trapped in ennui.- Caliscrub once again appears just as we are talking about Hades. How does this keep happening?
- The Sims 2 is where they implemented the concept of dying of old age. And woohooing Death.
- Lip tricks scare birds while we research the four American Tale titles. One is surprisingly pro-union!
- “You’re allowed to never read again.”
- While searching for lost rental pads, we discuss the Silent Hill franchise, and specifically Silent Hill 4 with its cursed dolls.
- Ollie the Magic Bum is now officially magic, so he floats.
- fanboymaster has to look up magic bum locations, and he will not be shamed for this fact. However, that does mean that it is time to wrap up for the night, so Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 challenges will continue next time.
Next Week on the Hawkathon: Never travel abroad.
