Wild Arms 3 Part 21: Home is Where the Plot Is

Today is a brand new day, specifically September 19, Pot of Hell Day. Although this isn’t widely known, there is a gigantic cauldron in hell that boils sinners for eternity. The broth that seeps out of the rich and chubby sinners makes a good soup base.

Previously on Wild Arms 3: Virginia and company were defeated by Asgard the Golem, but then rescued by the power of love. Now we’re past all that, and, after a quick, secret visit from Virginia’s father, we’re going to Clive’s home.

Humphrey’s Peak is a long walk from Little Rock, but a quick jaunt from that laboratory dungeon.

Looks like a pretty place.

I just said that! Bah!

“You don’t make ‘buy a town’ money on shooting poisonous birds.”

239100.png

“We just had the blue roof installed last month. It is somehow already out of warranty.”

239200.png

Fun fact: This is not a super mountainous area. I have no idea what this is supposed to be the “peak” of.

Maybe we will discover answers under this bridge…

Wild Arms 3 Part 20: Rest Virginia

Come on guys, let’s play on September 12, Faker Day. The marketplace of Little Twister is full of fake shops like fake moneychangers and fake pharmacies. A faker is someone who goes into these shops without prior knowledge of fake items, otherwise known as bait. Since fakers had higher survival rates than those who knew how to identify fake stuff, the Little Twister Tourist Committee named the day Faker Day.

See? So I guess we’ll have a little writeup of what happened in Wild Arms 3, and how…

227900.png

Oh, maybe we can squeeze an update out of Melody standing around and rubbing it in.

228000.png

“These guys suck. Do I need to write that down for next time?”

228100.png

Come to think of it, like, literally no one is resisting the Prophets right now. Nobody knows they exist! If our team is dead, then what is the battle data good for? Gotta fight the united army of Jolly Roger or something?

What’s this!? A cat from behind!?!

Wild Arms 3 Part 15: Ruses ‘n Resurrections

We’re going to go ahead and post this on August 8, Infinity Day. Turn the number eight on its side and you get the symbol for infinity. Nifty, isn’t it?

Previously on Wild Arms 3: Our intrepid Drifters crossed the land far and wide to find a clue for something to do. They eventually settled on helping some lost woman destroy an ambiguous magical artifact in random ruins.

These ruins.

157100.png

Filled with monsters like these.

And puzzles that can be solved with bombs like this.

So fun fact…

Wild Arms 3 Part 14: Goals and Dolls

Back to Wild Arms 3 Let’s Playing proper here on August 1, Soaproot Day. You might laugh at me for saying it, but I really like soaproot. They come in handy when I need to get that sneeze out of my system.

Previously on Wild Arms 3: In a climatic battle between Virginia and Janus (and those other guys), Janus was soundly defeated. Ka Dingel partially collapsed, and our party left to… Uh… what were we doing?

Having flashbacks again, I guess?

145100.png

Clive experiences the same flashback we saw back in his introductory chapter.

145200.png

Apparently he has ruins-based PTSD. This must be a common affliction in JRPG worlds.

145300.png

And it caused him to miss the ol’ alarm clock.

145400.png

I am betting this inn is tired of these doofs and that white-haired kid putting his feet up on the table.

Having completed 25% of the game…
